I have had the Jeep for a few months now and am having a minor start problem.
When the engine is cold, it won’t start on the first try. I crank for a few seconds stop and try again and it starts. It runs a little rough for a few seconds and then runs fine. The car has about 118,000 miles on it. I have replaced both O2 sensors and the spark plugs which increased fuel mileage but did nothing for the hard start.
Try turning the key to ON, but not START a couple of times before trying to start it. I think your fuel pump may be getting weak, and that will prime the system if that is the problem. The electric fuel pump is inside the gas tank.
