Hard starting

150K on 5.2L v8. first start of the day it cranks for several seconds before starting – not right away like before. Last tuned @ 60K with cap, rotor, wires & Bosch platinum single electrode plugs.

Perhaps it’s taking that long to build up fuel pressure. Your fuel system may have lost pressure overnight. (leaky injector?)

Try turning key on for 3 seconds (don’t crank engine), off, on for 3 sec, off. Let the fuel pump run for a few turns of the key without cranking the engine. See if this helps it start quicker in the morning.

THANKS – I’ll give that a try in the morning.
