i am trying to find out what the torque setting is on the knock sensor . when i install it ,
I have the service information for the 98 Maxima. Assuming you have the same 3.0L engine, the spec is 15-20 ft lbs. I would go on the lower side of the spec so you don’t damage the sensor.
By the way, the service manual tells you to remove the intake assembly to get to the sensor. If you can get a helper with small hands, you can install it from the side by reaching under the intake. You will need a 12mm socket with built in swivel adapter and a long extension.
