My Pathfinder’s dashboard lights are getting dimmer.What can I do?
There’s a very slight possibility the rheostat in the dimmer switch MAY be going south.
A more likely scenario is your charging system needs an experienced look.
All the usual maintenance items need to be addressed.
Remove/clean and reconnect wrench tight both ends of the battery cables.
Check ground connections including engine to chassis ground.
Have a full load test done to the charging system.
How old is the battery? If over 5 years old it MAY need replacing, although I have had batteries last as long as 11 years with only one recharge during that time.
Regular preventative maintenance is key.
