I have a 95 monte w/ 3.1 v6 (if that matters) that will go into gear and drive til it gets warm then slips out of gear!! What the heck is going on and does it need a new tranny?? Please advise! Thanks!
Check the basics first. How is the fluid level and condition?? Check the level with the trans in “P”, vehicle on a level surface, and the trans hot. How many miles do you have on it?? When was it last serviced?? Has it been serviced at least every 25-30k miles??
