I have a 1995 E320 Mercedes Benz wagon with 120k on the car. Recently we had a tropical storm rain on our area for 24 hours, then a front with another 24+hours of rain. After the rain broke both times, the car was hard to start, and took about 6-7 trys to get it to stay running right. After that though, it seems to run fine. I assume something is getting wet, but what? Where should I start? Could it be the dreaded wiring harness? Ignition somethingoranother? Looking for ideas. Thanks
I would start simply, ignition(sparkplug) wires…
Old, dry spark plug wires will often cause hard starting in wet weather. Try new plug wires and see if that helps.
