My turn signals went out last week. We have determined that the problem is NOT the fuse or the little $10 relay. My friend took apart the steering column and opened up the whole switch unit and found that the electrical connection appeared to be almost burned looking. Rather than paying almost $400 for a new part, we found a used one at a junkyard, but the problem still exists. 2 parts to my question… 1) Is this a common problem with these cars that would make it worth the money to buy a new part? 2) Any other thoughts on what might be the problem? I appreciate any input!
