Well I took the passenger side fan out, cleaned it up a bit and upon inspection discovered there was no way to reverse polarity of the wires going into the motor. Left me no choice but to cut the wires and swap them. Now both fans run in same direction, and my overheating issues are over.
I got all new relays, and unfortunately, when I insert my new relay into the FAN #2 position, the fans do not work. I guess that’s why the mechanic had a jumper in there.
I guess since it’s not overheating anymore, I can live with the jumper in the relay socket.
