I replaced my 94 high mileage engine with a 96 low miles engine, but cannot seem to ascertain if I should have a firewall mounted ignition coil or distributor mounted one.
I’d use whatever setup was working with whatever distributor you’re using on the engine.
I should have clarified this: when I removed the old engine, I did not take note of whether or not the ignition coil was mounted on the distributor or the firewall. Silly thing here is that there doesn’t seem to be any bolt up on the fw for one, but I do remember removing the distributor off the 96 engine and it was without a coil.
