brake barly stops but no visial of fluid leaking

If you are not anymore familiar with brakes then what you posted, I recommend having them check by a professional mechanic (shop) as brakes are a very big safety issue on your vehicle…
We don’t know if you are hearing a grinding, squealing or any kind of noise, or if the brake pedal goes to the floor, if you have a brake and or ABS light(s) on, vibration in the brake pedal (pushback), pulsation when braking, or any other information to give us a clue for helping you out…

A faulty brake master cylinder’s symptom is the brake pedal goes to the floor, brakes don’t work, but there are no visible fluid leaks. There’s a leak all right, but it is inside the master cylinder, from one chamber to another, so nothing leaks to the outside.
