1992 Buick Regal wont stay running

My 1992 Buick Regal will start, it will idle for about 5 minutes, then dies, or if you try to accelerate it dies. I have plugged a few vacuum leaks. I have replaced the ignition coils, spark plugs and wires.

Check the fuel filter, a clogged filter will cause this. If the filter is OK, check the fule pump.

I will try that … It will take me a week to get this done. I will start with the fuel filter, and test the pressure on the fuel pump. Any idea what the pressure should be? I think Autozone will be able to tell me. Thanks for your response.

autozone.com > specifications > fuel system > shows fuel pressure of 41 -47 psi for your car.
There are several good articles on the Internet for fuel pressure testing. This one has the best photographs: http://www.automedia.com/Fuel_Pump_Pressure_Test/ccr20080201fp/1
This one has a video to show you how to do it: http://www.2carpros.com/dia/test_fuel_pressure.htm
You may need another fitting for your fuel pressure gauge. The Internet is the best source for those.
You may not need to do a fuel pressure test if you change the fuel filter. If you do the test, you need to watch the gauge until the engine shuts off. If the fuel pressure falls off, the engine will die. That could be caused by the fuel pump weakness, or the fuel pressure regulator staying open.

I have replaced the fuel filter. the pressure is fine, though it fluctuates slightly. The car now will idle forever. I can drive it around the block. The slight incline slows the car down, but doesnt stall it like it used to. While I was under the car, I noticed that the CC has been changed in the resent past, not sure when. I replaced the throttle position sensor while I was at it. No change when I replaced the throttle position sensor. When the car stalled as I applied the gas peddle, the pressure cuts off like someone shut it off, but not till the car is already stalling … ???
Thanks for everyones help so far.
