Flooded engine 3.1 size fuel injection how long to wait to it clears and will it clear on it’s own? It was run dry untill empty
On a fuel injected engine, you hold the gas pedal all they way down the floor and then try to start the engine to clear a flooded condition.

…and do the same on a carbureted engine. Flooring the gas pedal gives one spray of fuel (which is counterproductive) but if you keep it floored while cranking, you get max air flow into and out of the combustion chambers, which will clear the flooded condition.
