1987 Toyota Corolla

The car ran out of gas one day, I put gas in and from that day on it won’t start. Tried everything, discovered it is getting WAY to much gas, flooding carborator and fouling plugs. Removed carborator, cleaned, etc. Even tapped on it to loosen float as suggested by friends, but still has the problem. The car turns over, just no start. Never had any problems before.

Are you sure you are getting spark?

Yes

Check your fuel line pressure. The regulator may have failed. You may have too much pressure, overriding the float & needle valve’s ability to stop it.

Thanks, I will try that
