1987 Nissan Sentra

We have a 1987 Nissan Sentra that idles in park and revs in park, but as soon as it is put in drive it dies. The coil,o2 sensor, cap and rotor have been changed. The carburator has been changed too.Can you give us some advice?

The first thing that comes to mind is a locked up torque converter clutch.

Its function is to create a hard connection between the engine and the tranny above a specified speed, but if it’s locked at rest your symptoms will occur.
