11 second chirp

maybe the caller does home improvement or is generally messy, and left a smoke detector in his car and the battery finally died. lol. could do it.

I have no idea what you’re referring to. But if it’s a strange sound I have my own story.

Friends of mine had bought a house and were occasionally hearing a repeating buzzing sound in the downstair bathroom. The thought is was the pipes vibrating. It went on for a very long time, occasionally active and occasionally not, before it finally stopped for good. Nothing they did helped.

Some year later they got to remodeling the downstairs bath. They discovered a beeper with a dead battery in the wall cavity.

He is referring to a Car Talk caller on 10/03/09 who had a 11 second chirp in his car regardless of speed. The guys gave up after the caller shot down an idea about the AC compressor cycling due to low freon.
