You cannot go over the speed limit to pass another vehicle

That’s a clever response. It baffles me how some people out there just don’t appreciate kindness and gentleness. :pensive:

I didn’t mean to upset you. I should mention that it was 10:30 at night, and there were no other cars or pedestrians for blocks. Just empty streets. So just see no reason to sit and count to five when no one is around. People need to relax a little.

Similar scenario for me at University thirty years ago:

I was heading into the campus library to study, and a young lady next to me was (barely) holding a tall stack of books and spiral binders.

I instinctively grabbed the libarary lobby door for her, and she ripped in to me:

“Do I look like I need help?”

I responded, “I was holding the door to be nice”.

She went “Your attempts at being nice are going to get you a visit from police - now leave me alone!”

I proceeded into the library ahead of her and let the door close in front of her.

Let me clarify. I get upset at drivers not waiting their turn at a 4 way stop sign.

I wasn’t referring to you in specific :+1:

I feel like I’m the youngest on this forum, and that’s actually a good thing — I’ve always enjoyed the older guys company. They got lots to share.

I’m 41 male.

That just proves how out of touch you are, Don’t you know how important they think they are and they should not have to wait… They are “Entitled…” L :grinning: L . . .

Sometimes I feel like following them home and using my little Valve Stem Tool, I would just loosen the valve up just a “smidge” so the tire goes flat overnight and in the morning, they find all four flat tires with a note on the windshield that says, “Next Time, You Will Wait Your Turn…”

Reminds me of the time we came home after being gone for the weekend and had anti-Semitic grafitti all over our drive way. I just washed it off. I don’t remember jumping the gun at a four way stop but must have been something to upset someone. They didn’t know I’m half German.

That seems like the most correct answer to me. If you got it wrong I expect there’s a bug in the software; or (presuming this is an online test ) when you clicked on the answer, the arrow wasn’t quite on the answer you were trying to select.

lol … Reminds me of a similar incident I had years ago. I’m not sure what I did or didn’t do, possibly they were mistaken who did committed the offense, but someone in the neighborheed decided it would be good revenge to smear dog poo all over my truck, front to back, both sides … lol … Couldn’t have been a very pleasant job. It took me maybe 5 minutes to hose the truck off …

I strongly believe it is a glitch.

It’s an app called NY DMV.

Hearing stories like these terrifies me. It scares me to know I have to share the road with some lunatics.

Last year, coming out from a private road after getting some food at McDonald’s and having stopped at a 4 way stop sign before making a right turn, then signaled my way over to the left lane, an elderly behind me felt offended for an unknown reason and decided to get in front of me to brake check me.

He brake checked me about 3 times before he would calm down.

We met each other up the street by 2 miles at a stop light and I looked at him to see who he was, and that’s when I learned he was a guy in his 60s.

Another incident happened at shop rite. A guy in a dodge challenger decided he wanted the spot I was about to park in and raced his way in front of me then giving me the middle finger.

When I walked inside the store, he was so heartbroken to see that I was using a walker to walk and then came over to where I was and apologized. He actually cried and offered me any help I might need in the store.

I just don’t understand why people have to behave like that on the road.

Many of the German Jewish died in concentration camps.

I’m not Jewish either. We were involved in holocaust education though which maybe upset someone.

Hi, everybody. I’ve been gone for a while. Had some stuff going on. But I have to say, this one gave me quite a chuckle. I try to keep both of these traits in check.

An “app called NY DMV”?

Anyone can code an “app called DMV”.

You install the thing on your desktop or mobile and it steals your identity for Chryssakes!

Are you serious ? Darn! I thought apps from the Apple Store were safe. I guess I’ll remove the app from my phone, if it’s not already too late.

My point was, just because an app claims to represent something doesn’t mean that it does.

The reduction in the presence of cursive in schools to me represents a step backwards in civility and reverence in our society and culture.

Or a step forward in technology. I don’t see any need for cursive writing anymore. The ONLY time I write cursively is when I sign a check.
