Which rare or unusual cars have you seen recently?

That car would be a “lifeboat” for a Hummer. Carry it hanging off the back and use it when the tank runs dry (or batteries run out)

There’s one at the trailer park about 1/2 mile from my house. When it’s parked in his driveway, he almost doubles the size of his residence. That beast wouldn’t fit in my garage.

The Ford Country Squire was the basis for the Family Truckster, which was featured in National Lampoon’s Vacation movie. Here are a couple of pics that I took several months ago, at a rest stop on the NJ Turnpike. I think it’s a replica, rather than the actual movie vehicle.

I haven’t been in Naples, Florida since the early ‘70s, and the only thing I recall about that town is their Duck Vaudeville. Is that show still in existence?

I had to research that one… no, long gone, the Naples Zoo is on the spot. Naples has changed a LOT from the 1970s. It has changed a lot since the 1990s when I started to visit southwest Florida. It has become a very upscale place to live with some of the most expensive real estate in Florida.

The Land Rover dealer in Naples sells more than any other in the USA. They are as common as Kias there.

Does the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile count???

The Munster coach is actually a clone. The carbs are fake. So they have 10 fake “things” that look like carbs. They are plastic. But, back to my point, why have 10 carbs on a v8? Ah, more power.

Pure movie/show car looks…

Someone near me has a Scooby Doo Mystery Machine, a VW bus. It looks like this.

I was coming out of Publix and walking back to my car. I always park in the back of the parking lot where nobody usually parks. I got to my car and next to me was a Datsun 240Z in mint shape. It had a Pennsylvania classic car plate on it. it looked like the one below…

I saw a mint condition teal blue Ford Tempo on the road last week. Haven’t seen one in years. And to think, there were so many of them 20 years ago.

That might be a hint regarding their durability.
