Which paint colors last better over time

I actually hate white but have had two vehicles that were white. I agree, they actually do not show dirt as much as many other colors although my silver cars were even better at hiding the fact I wasn’t washing them. Black was hands down the best looking but hardest to maintain.

White is a bit scary during winter around here…it blends in with the snow drifts a bit too much…

And unintended color changes under artificial light. My Legend Lime car appears rental car silver under some parking lot lights.

My dark blue metallic Dodge Dakota SXT 4X4 still looks like new and runs like new as well. It’s over 15 years old so it’s stood the test of time remarkably. Timely maintenance and care have a lot to do with it.
