I learned a trick to help blades last longer. Whenever I put the car away at night, I prop up the entire blade assembly using a couple of old wine bottle corks. This removes the spring load from the soft portion of the blade and helps keep the rubber from taking a “set.” BTW, anyone had any experience with the new PIAA silicone blades/ Expensive so they better be good.
Doesn’t that make the wine leak?

I WOULD TRY SOME OF THE MOST COMMON DISCOUNT STORES …WAL-MARTS…K-MART…AUTO-ZONE…ETC. ETC.
Go with the refills and save. If the wiper is in good shape, why throw it away? The money you save throughout the years should go to your local public radio. Excuse me, I have to go collect cans on the side of the road now.
Depression Boy
Because at the time the truck was ONLY 2 years old.
Second…First thing the guy asked me was had I been using the new Tripple edge wipers. Said he’s seen several dozen motors burn out becuase of the added friction they were causing and thus more preasure on the motor.
Third…Replaced motor…never used tripple edge again and never had that problem again.
