What to do?

I have a 2003 Chevy Venture, that the other day started idling really high while in Park, sounded like it was going to explode. When placed in drive, it goes on its own pretty quick as well. Fluids are topped off, and I don’t find any hoses not connected. Can anyone help?

Start with the easy stuff. Is the floormat jammed against the accelerator pedal?

Nope. thought of that. Took it out in fact.

Throttle plate getting stuck? Throttle cable lubed? Were any check engine lights on?

No check engine lights. I tried the throttle cable from within engine compartment. Was able to rev it up more, but no change when I let go.
