I live in Florida. Recently I have noticed, when I park my car in my garage in the afternoon after returning home from work, a humming sound from the right rear of the car near the right rear wheel. Most of the time it’s a steady tone, sometimes it pulsates. I’ve been to the dealer and they can find nothing but suggest it might be the fuel pump. I’m getting ready for a cross country trip and don’t want to worry about this. Any ideas?
I would add a possible issue with the vapor recovery/vent system. If so I would not be surprised if you have or will have a CEL before long.
Thank you for that.
This has been going on for more than 1000 miles. No CEL yet.
Okay less than 1000 miles more like 300 miles.
