I have a 2000 VW Beetle with a fault code P0410. I suspect the secondary air pump but I can’t find it. I believe that it could be as simple as a bad vacuum hose as I had to replace all of the other ones on the car. How do I find it?
How about buying a repair manual at the parts store. Hopefully it will have it shown in the book.
This is probably a actual electric air pump that pumps air into the exhaust for the first minute or so when the engine is fist turned on. They are usually located in the front of the car down below the radiator. Trace the hose from it to the exhaust manifold probably tied in by the EGR. Note this is typical however I have never worked on a Bug to be sure
