Volvo 240 Sedan

I just bought a 91 Volvo 240 Sedan-

is there anything I should look out for

in regard to maintenance or upkeep?

It has 67K miles, and it’s an automatic.

Thanks!

Unless it’s known for a fact to have been done recently, change the transmission fluid and the timing belt/tensioners/water pump.

The same goes for the fuel filter. This can be a pump killer if ignored.

If the owner’s manual is still with the car, READ IT, and the maintenance schedule that comes with it. The schedule will tell you all you need to know about preventive maintenance.

If there is no owner’s manual, see if you can get a used one from Books4Cars.com. The owner’s manual is the best source of information for your car.
