The vent fan just stopped blowing on speeds 1-3. It blows appropriately on 4-5. Is this a switch issue, or something else? How hard/expensive to fix?
It’s a resistor issue. Fan speeds are controlled by resistors. You can probably do this repair yourself. The hardest part is finding the resistor pack. It’s usually in the heater ductwork. It’s an inexpensive part.
It’s usually screwed into the duct work, so the coils (resistors) are in the air stream, but will be accessable from inside the cabin. Pretty easy to replace, after you find it.
