@Lockefordlarry says the chair weighs 173 lbs. The rig to hold it is roughly 100 lbs. (I suspect less.) Most folks I see putting power chairs onto racks do it by pushing the joystick from the side, off of the chair, so his 240 lbs doesn’t enter into the equation unless he intends to ride back there… I think the Camry would handle 273 lbs hung on the back, but maybe I’m wrong. I don’t know if overload springs can be added to a Camry, but it would be worth checking into if the springs sagged.
