After decelerating the car (an '01 Ford Focus w/manual trans) pulls/veers to the right. It is most noticeable when shifting from 2nd to 3rd, 3rd to 4th, 4th to 5th, and after releasing the accelerator upon passing. The problem can also be induced by driving over an uneven (not rough but wave like) stretch of road. I have no idea where to begin looking for a solution, I was thinking suspension but, that was just recently worked on.
Sounds like one caliper is sticking and dragging that wheel - when was the last time the brakes were done?
It probably is your suspension/steering. Have it checked out before something flies apart and your troubles are immensly magnified.
I suggest you have a mechanic check the suspension and steering system before something really bad happens. This is a safety issue, and not something to fool around with. Make an appointment ASAP.
Give realbinky five stars for his or her answer and replace the front calipers and pads.
