Have you guys seen the value of these things lately?? (I’ve got a 98 w/120k miles and, of course, a blown headgasket). It’s been said that if a car is in good condition and runs reliably, it’s worth at least a grand - obviously not these. I’m seeing dealer posts online, asking price mind you, in the $800 to $900 range. Unbelievable!! I guess the word is out. Maybe the dealer ads should read - 98 Subaru Forester in great conditions!! Guaranteed to blow a headgasket any day!!
I wanted to sell it and I was considering fixing it, but I doubt I could even get the cost of the repair, and that’s if I do it myself with cheap parts from Autozone! Oh well, I guess I’ll be making another trip to the local junkyard - kinda like taking your old dog to the vet for you know what…
