Thanks for all the comments and suggestions, everyone! I neglected to mention that I did opt to have the brake fluid flushed and replaced. Though I had some doubts about all the items, the brake fluid seemed the one most worth doing. I did think about calling another Toyota dealer just to see if they pushed additional items, or whether it’s just that particular dealer. I may still do that, or opt for another mechanic entirely.
