I don’t know why there seems to be a country song that fits a lot of situations. I don’t listen much anymore but the one that came to mind was “oh lord it’s hard to be humble when you’re perfect in every way”.
Manufactures have increased tire pressures over the years for improved fuel economy, not to make vehicles more dangerous.
Front tire pressure for the 2020 Toyota Corolla is 38 psi.
The pressure for the same size tire in 2005 was 30 psi.
That 18 year old kid that does the oil change and tire pressure checks isn’t ASE,
And the tire gauge that’s on the tire inflator has been drop and thrown so many times is no where near accurate.
Exactly!
Checking/correcting tire pressure is not one of the jobs that a dealership assigns to a real mechanic.
Did you check with all of those tire pressure gauges you have for some strange reason ?
What is that supposed to mean?
It means exactly what was already stated by It_s-Me:
The pressures on the door placard or in the manual are for the car, not for the tire.
Are you really that dense ?
And another line in the song “some people say I’m arrogant but I don5 know what that means. It must have something to do with the way I fill out my skin tight blue jeans.”
I love those old songs. Laugh every time.
I think it’s “egotistical”
Maybe you’re right. It’s been a while.
This thread is like a UFC match. I should tune in more often. Levity aside there’s an awful lot of negative interactions going on I’d like to see the forums a little less contentious.
The fact that the subject of tire pressure is more contentious than presidential politics is shameful.
The former subject is scientific and common sense!
The world has serious problems, a little fussing on a web Forum ( mostly caused by one stuborn person ) is not one of them . If it makes you feel better your Moderator application is in the mail.
That’s because those discussions are not allowed here. Some of us are still bloody after challenging the virus official narative.
