I have an '01 Focus Wagon. I’ve had this problem with the latching mechanism for a while, but it’s gotten worse as time progresses. The latch catches and closes the door. The trunk isn’t going to open, but it does not close fully. As a result, the door ajar light is always on my console. I used to fix it by manually closing the latch with by hand and then re-opening the latch. It closed almost every time after I did that. But now, even that is not working. Any way to fix this? Thanks.
