A coil spring? A rifled barrel? A raceway? Etc., etc., etc. made of low grade aluminum. It might as well be made of paper mache and there would be no barrel, just a pole.

10 years ago the technology was using plastic. It’s now evolved using Aluminum. Are you sure it won’t be able to evolve any further. I’m sure companies are working on using a better material for making higher grade parts.
