Hello, I have 04 Pontiac Grandam, and every once in a while, while driving on a flat straight road, the car will shift up and then down. It might do this again or stop for a while. Also sometimes when I set my cruise control the cruise will go off, I’ll set it and go off again. could these two be related. The reson this started I ran over a deer. Thank you

You need to have the computer scanned for codes. This could be something very simple as a TPS (Throttle Position Sensor).Scanning it and monitoring live data will tell you whether the shifting is computer commanded or not. Since the cruise is also cutting off, thats a strong indicator its most likely electronic.
