01 Dodge Ram has trans temp come on and oil was getting warm. Put new cooler on as thought it might be plugged alittle. Changed fluid and filter and it was ok yet. Transmission is strong, no slipping or problems shifting. After doing that to it, light came on again after 30 miles driving. Drove it right after changing everything about 200 miles with no problem, next day 30 miles and it was hot.
You need to get this checked by a trans shop right away. If the trans temp sensor is bad, and those do go bad, the light will come on when its not supposed to. If it is indeed getting too hot, you’re transmission is slowly cooking itself to death. A trans shop can tell you for sure. Every time you drive it you are taking a chance. Get it looked at.
