Hi,
I have a 1997 Chevy 2.4l with a transmission that feels like it is slipping in 4th gear.
This happens when I am at 60mph or above the transmission has about 135k on it never been open, check engine light has not come on. Any ideas
To help respondants verify whether this transmission is an automatic or a manual.

I will make three suggestions.
A clogged converter (Yea I would normally expect a a CEL). Or if Auto, the transmission. How long since the last time you changed the transmission fluid and filter? If manual it could be a clutch, but I would expect you would have noticed is slipping when you start up from a stop.
Need to know what model Chevy it is and auto or manual trans. We’ll go from there.
