Transmission repair or transmission flush?

We have a 1998 Honda Accord. The car bucks occasionally when we come to a stop
and then there’s a delay when we step on the gas. 3 months ago we had the transmission
fluid changed and it seemed to improve but now the car is really acting up again. We’re
scheduled for a transmission running flush with our mechanic. Do you think this could
help the situation or is this a sign the transmission is failing?

Both. The fluid change may help temporarily, and there may be some additives you can add that will extend the transmission a little longer, but it sounds like you have a deeper problem.
