Transmission Control Unit

If I replace the TCU on my 1993 Honda Accord Wagon, will I need to get the system “calibrated” or will it be good to go? From what I understand it is an easy replacement and I would rather save some money doing it myself than pay labor.

I think the idea of the TCU is that there is no calibration. It “learns” your driving and adjusts shift points based on past activity. IMO.

The new TCU should adapt as you drive. Install it and drive on.

Nice to know older Accords are still on the road. I have a '97 which I hope to get at least ten more years out of.
