Tranmission Fluid Change

I’m a stickler for changing my transmission fluid every 30,000 miles. I stumbled upon BG’s PF5 Power Flush and Fluid Exchange System. Is this better than the “standard” fluid change?

Does your owners manual recommend BG’s PF5 Power Flush and Fluid Exchange System? You really should stick with a drain and fill if your car has a drain plug, or a pan drop/filter change and refill rather than fancy flushes that pump detergents through your transmission.

Most flushes do not remove the pan to replace the filter and clean the pan. They just exchange the fluid.

Drop the pan, change the filter and refill every 25-30k and you will be fine.

You are doing just the right thing already. Don’t change a thing except make sure the pan is dropped and filter cleaned/replaced…
