Had the same problem for my Chevy avalanche took it to GM dealership and they replaced the steeeing wheel position sensor. Repair was about 800$.
Iāve repaired a couple of these by replacing the throttle body. The throttle position sensor can cause an issue with regard to the accelerator position sensor. When they arenāt seeing the same information, it believes there is a slip condition. At least in my experience with this issue, the replacement part solved the issue. Of course, the appropriate resets and relearns were performed before throwing parts at it.
