Hi Car Guys,
We have a 2000 Toyota Camry LE 4 Cylinder with 90,000 miles. We always took it to the local Toyota dealership for regular maintenance and mandatory oil changes etc. After it crossed 75k, we have been taking it to Meineke. Since last week, it was slow to accelerate, today it died on the road half mile from our home. Its immobile now.We have been told to get either rebuilt transmission for ~$2700 (with a 1year warranty) or an old transmission for around $1500 (in cash upfront with no warranty). Please advise what to do.
The car has been in an immaculate condition before today.
Thanks in anticipation.
Regards
Mo and Afia
