I have a 2009 Pontiac Vibe. Do I need to worry about the recall? I don’t know whether the recall affects my car?
It might be since the Vibe’s twin is the Matrix (which IS recalled).
Yes. All 2009 and 2010 Vibes are part of the recall. You can find out about it here:

GM has not provided a remedy plan! But then again, Toyota has not, either. The recall is the clutch assembly. GM does provide a phone number for you to call to get the most current information.
Check the model year and if the same as the Matrix model year(s), you will need to have it fixed, although the vehicles were built in different plants, the design is the same, except for the trim. You may have trouble getting a fix at a Toyota dealer, and I hope your Pontiac dealer is still around. The US goverment told everyone during the bankruptcy procedings to buy GM and Chryser cars since they would guarantee warranty work. Presumably that would cover recalls as well.
The local Chevy dealer here has been appointed as the offical Pontiac service provider.
GM may be delayed as they likely had no idea it was coming down the pike.
Realize steps must be in place to address recall, educatate, and notify owners. If you are a 2nd or 1st owner maybe register on GM’s website as an owner.
Recalls and warranty work can be done at and GM dealership. I had warranty work done a few times at a local Chevy dealer on my GMC S-15.
It’s much more than a recall…
