Any advice for a shade tree mechanic replaceing a timing belt on a 2.4 liter, 4 cyl (2001 Dodge Status)? Should I do the water pump at the same time? How about the idler pulleys?
Any special tools required?
Manufacturer recommends replacement at 100,000 miles, car is at 125,000.
You might as well do The Full Monty and replace everything the belt turns…A shop manual will be handy I’m sure…
