Timing Belt and Validity of Other Posts?

Lots of comments but you have which engine? Can’t google what don’t exist. If you have an overhead cam engine and I would guess that you do, there’s enough work to let the shop do it. You would have too many questions. Is that sprocket good, does it need cleaning? Who the hell thinks those should be timing marks? It’s just not any fun unless you’re crazy enough to enjoy that kind of thing.

Save money by fixing your brakes. No. I think it’s so easy but I have training and a lot of years of experience.

I still do plenty of repairs myself, proactively usually, but while I CAN change a timing belt, its actually not worth the effort versus the cost to have it done for me.

On some cars I’ll agree…Any transverse mounted engine like my wifes Accords…royal pain in the butt. I did two of them…the others I had down. But my pathfinders were real easy. Engine faced forward. Hardest thing was removing the radiator.
