Just wanted to follow up and let those who helped me with my original problem(a clanging noise in the front of my 2002 Chevy Trail Blazer). It turned out to be: Front Sway Bar Bushings and links(?), stabilizer pins. CV joints checked out ok. Thanks to all who gave me advice!

Thank you for the update. We so often don’t know the outcomes of these threads. A happy ending is always a heppy post.
Well, they weren’t sure that they heard “my” noise but did hear something that led them to the repair they made and that did the trick. So, I’ve decided to record any future noises, if possible, and take them in to the shop with me.
