The dealership forgot to replace a nut when working on my car, and the transmission fluid leaked out over the course of a few weeks. They admit to this…but can I expect damage to my engine down the road?
Engine? Probably no damage there. Transmission? Damage is likely, depending on how much fluid leaked out. Make sure you get the dealership’s admittance in writing, so that if there is any tranny damage as a result, they will be on the hook for repairs/replacement.
You might also want to push for a seriously extended drivetrain warranty from them…for free, of course.
