Yep, about half the posts would be gone if every time one of us were flagged after recommending a product by name or a website.
If you feel a post of yours was flagged as “spam” & removed in error, suggest each time that happens send send an IM to the moderator asking to review the policy. IMHO to remove a post as spam there would have to be some good evidence the poster is somehow benefitting by the link. e.g.
- poster has fewer than 10 prior posts here
- there’s some good evidence of an obvious link between the poster and the website/business linked.
In the interest of populating this forum with more members, posters here with a reasonably long history of good forum behavior should be able to post links without any fear at all of their posts being removed as spam. My opinion is all.
Never going to happen, every new member is faced with rejection for some reason or another.
Sometimes it could be spam, other times, they object to replies made to old threads.
We have one in the town next to me (Enterprise). They have at most 10 cars to rent out. And about half are pickups
