Why does my 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS have no Emergency Brake?
Because somebody took the parking brake out.
Its also illegal to do so. If the brake system fail,the only thing that could save your life and the lifes of others is the parking brake.
It did have an E brake when it was built.
I think that the OP needs to clarify the issue for us.
Do you apply the e-brake, but it has no effect?
