The Case of the Lost Car Key

Yep, I like the clip board idea. Those lost keys are expensive.

When we bought our Acura, we were waiting for the salesman to bring us the second key. They couldn’t find it anywhere, and this was on a new car. Couldn’t believe it. They had to order one, then we had to bring the car in again to have the key programed etc. What a hassle. On the work order, it was noted that Service charged the cost off to Sales. I’m sure it was upwards of $200.

I’m sure you are right, @Bing. Before he figured out that the woman had taken my key, the service guy was going to issue me a (single) replacement key. You should have seen his face when I told him I was going to need two, one for me and one for my husband, because (as it was explained to me) the programming on my husband’s key would no longer work. He wasn’t happy to cover that cost.
