Can the ABS unit be bench tested and if so, how ?
Probably by Mythbusters or with a Moog Synthesizer. I think Isaac Hayes has one. The manufacturer may test new ones but they may not be able to test yours anywhere except on the car.
Where I live, you just wait for winter and some ice. No need to bench test.
There is really no such thing as an “ABS unit”. The system consists of a controller, pump, sensors, etc. The system tests itself every time you start the car. Are you having a particular problem or is this a hypothetical question?
YES, MY ABS/TRACTION LIGHT CAME ON. I SO i TOOK iT TO A GARAGE AND THEY REPLACED THE REAR LEFT WHEEL SENSOR AND BEARING. THEN THEY SAID THE ABS UNIT,(THE PART WITH THE HYDRAULICK LINES AND PUMP). I DON’T TRUST THEM, BECAUSE THEY WERE WRONG THE FIRST TIME. THERE IS A CODE TC 037 I have a 96 Eldorado 4.6. WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST? PLEAS.
