Tempermental Tempo

When I drive my '94 Ford Tempo for 45 mins. or so when it’s hot outside, it will just decide~ at the most inopportune moment of course~ to stop working. It doesn’t shudder, shake, overheat or give any warning. It just stops running. Any ideas?? Thanks for your time

I had the same problem with a 91 Ford Taurus, it was the fuel pump. The car would run fine for an hour or so then stop dead. After an hour or so the car started up and ran fine.

This can also be caused by a defective ignition module.
