2005 Ford Taurus, 80K miles, 6 cyl, 3L OHV engine. Sometimes when driving, the tachometer goes crazy - mostly goes down (~1000rpm). The car seems to run OK but I remember a friend years ago had a Taurus with a similar problem and it was some speed control switch/senor or something ??? Any ideas ??
